Michael is the Founder and CEO of MH Gottschalk, LLC. He has over 17 years of experience providing tax and accounting services to various individuals and companies. Prior to establishing MH Gottschalk, LLC, Michael served in Management and Director positions at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He has been responsible for the delivery of a complete range of services including tax compliance and consulting, cost reduction strategies, employee benefits planning, payroll consulting, and retirement planning. Michael also has extensive experience providing tax, payroll and compensation services for U.S. expatriates and U.S. foreign nationals. Michael also brings a personal perspective to the expatriate tax process, having served on international work assignments in the UK and Switzerland.
Michael holds two of the most highly respected professional certifications in the accounting and finance industry. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Public Accountant. Michael is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael received his B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Michael lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and 2 boys and enjoys playing and coaching sports, reading, and traveling.
